Training from APM focuses on validating project management professionals holistically, providing understanding about the role and terminology. Whereas, PRINCE2 or Agile will focus on a subsection of project management, by teaching you how to use a method for projects. To further explain how APM credentials fit, here is our analogy, a cook will need to learn how to work in a kitchen before they begin learning about recipes (PRINCE2/ AgilePM).
