Who are ISC2?

ISC2 (formerly written (ISC)²) is a non-profit and the world’s largest association of certified cyber security professionals. It’s the body behind some of the field’s most respected credentials — the CISSP, the benchmark certification for security leaders, and the CCSP for cloud security. An ISC2 certification reads as a serious, senior-level signal on a CV: these aren’t entry-level badges, and employers recognise them worldwide.

What is the CCSP?

The Certified Cloud Security Professional is ISC2’s senior certification for securing cloud environments. As organisations move more of their systems to the cloud, the people who can secure that move are in short supply — and CCSP is one of the clearest ways to prove you’re one of them. It covers cloud architecture, data and platform security, operations, and legal and compliance considerations.

Is It Right for You?

CCSP is a professional-level credential aimed at experienced security and IT people — security architects, engineers and consultants. ISC2 requires relevant work experience for the full certification, so if you’re newer to cyber it’s usually better to build up first through CompTIA security certifications like Security+ and CySA+, and Cloud+ for the cloud side.

How the Exam Works

This course prepares you fully for the CCSP exam, but the exam itself is booked and sat separately through ISC2 (at a Pearson VUE test centre or online). We’ll point you to everything you need to register when you’re ready.
