Which PRINCE2 Course Should You Do?

PRINCE2 isn’t one course — it’s a small family of them, and picking the wrong starting point wastes either money or time. Here’s how to choose in about two minutes.

Your options

There are really four: Foundation, Practitioner, the two together as Foundation & Practitioner, and PRINCE2 Agile for teams working in agile environments. Choose Foundation if…

…you’re new to project management, or you just need to prove you understand the method. It has no prerequisites, it’s the quickest to finish, and it’s often all an employer asks for at entry level.

Choose Practitioner if…

…you already hold Foundation and need to show you can apply PRINCE2 on real projects. It’s aimed at people who’ll actually run projects and carries more weight on a CV. You can’t sit it without Foundation (or an accepted equivalent) first.

Choose Foundation & Practitioner if…

…you’re serious about a project management career. This is the combination most hiring managers recognise, and doing them together beats coming back for Practitioner later. For most career-minded learners, this is the one we’d point you to — our Foundation & Practitioner course covers both exams.

Choose PRINCE2 Agile if…
