What is CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner?
This certification is for cybersecurity professionals, teaching you everything you need to keep an organisation secure. The CASP+ should be considered once you have completed either the CompTIA PenTest+ or the CompTIA CySA+, both these are regarded as intermediate level courses. The CASP+ course is also the highest level certification CompTIA currently provides for cybersecurity professionals.
How long does it take to study for CompTIA CASP?
This is a tricky question without knowing who is asking, although, we do say around 30 hours generally. This may be much shorter or longer, depending on how quick you learn and how much experience you have.
How hard is the CASP test?
If you haven't come from a strong cybersecurity background, it's going to be difficult. Looking at the CompTIA website, the recommended experience for this certification is a minimum of ten years IT experience and five years of security experience. There is no reason you can't enrol on the course, but you may find it challenging.
