A data analyst turns raw data into insight that helps an organisation make better decisions. They gather and clean data, analyse it for patterns, and present clear findings through reports and dashboards.

Day to day the work involves querying databases (often with SQL), building dashboards in tools like Power BI, analysing trends, and explaining what the numbers mean to non-technical colleagues. The most valuable analysts pair technical skill with the ability to tell a clear story with data.
