What AgilePM is
AgilePM® (Agile Project Management) is a structured approach to running projects in agile environments. It’s built on the DSDM Agile Project Framework from the Agile Business Consortium and certified by APMG International. Where some agile methods focus only on the delivery team, AgilePM adds the planning, governance, and clear roles a project needs — so you stay flexible without losing control of time, cost, or quality. In Australia, where agile dominates delivery, that added discipline is exactly what government and enterprise projects expect.
The Foundation level is the entry-point qualification. It tests whether you understand AgilePM’s philosophy, principles, roles, and project lifecycle — the shared language agile teams use to deliver in increments and keep stakeholders involved throughout. You don’t need any prior experience or qualifications to take it.
AgilePM suits any project where the requirements are likely to change as you go — which, today, is most of them. It’s widely used across Australian technology, financial services, and the public sector, and it pairs well with structured methods like PRINCE2 when an organisation needs both governance and agility.
